Meet the Finalist Judges and Speakers for Great Ideas 2018

Jason Bagley

Judge & Speaker

Jason is the Executive Creative Director at Wieden + Kennedy where he is based out of their Portland office.  Jason leads the creation and execution of integrated advertising branding campaigns for brands like Old Spice, Samsung, Electronic Arts, Oreo, Trident Gum, Kraft, and CareerBuilder.com.  He graduated with degrees in Marketing Communications, English and Film at Brigham Young University.  Jason served a mission in Japan and after working in Salt Lake City, moved to Oregon where he first worked on the Nike account with numerous athletes and celebrities.  Jason is the proud father of Ruby, Ezra and Lucy.  

Donald Kelly

Judge & Speaker

Donald runs an organization and sales podcast of the same name, called the “The Sales Evangelist.” His team helps struggling sales professionals and entrepreneurs find more prospects, build stronger value and close more deals.  Currently, he has listeners in over 155 countries downloads of this podcast which often exceeds 60,000 per month.  Donald’s organization has received recognition from publications such as Entrepreneur Magazine, Huffington Post, Yahoo Finance and the South Florida Business Journal.  Donald graduated from BYU Idaho in 2010 where he was elected Student Body President during his senior year.  He is married and currently lives in West Palm Beach, Florida where he serves as Bishop in his ward.

 

Benoy Tamang

Judge & Speaker

Benoy is currently the President & CEO of BlueRiver Direct a company that provides leadership augmentation and revenue acceleration for small to medium businesses.  Prior to this he was the CEO of eFileCabinet, which began as a cutting-edge tool to digitally store records in accounting firms.  Over time, the company evolved into a sophisticated electronic management solution with thousands of customers.  Benoy is originally from Nepal, joined the Church while attending BYU-Hawaii and loves the mission of the University.  Over the last 20 years, he has founded and successfully exited multiple companies.

Andrew & Rita Fowers

Judge & Speaker

Andrew and Rita met at BYU-Hawaii 13 years ago where Andrew was studying Accounting and Rita was studying Bio Med.  While attending school they came up with the idea for a travel app (Shaka Guide) and received their initial start-up financing from the Willes Center after winning a business plan competition.  Although Andrew completed his degree, passed the CPA exam and received a job offer – he decided to pursue the start-up company with Rita.  Rita serves as the CEO of the company and they currently offer 11 tours of the Hawaiian Islands through their app which has received over 4,000 “5 Star” reviews.
