About the Program
For students interested in combining their major and minor to create a small business, nonprofit, NGO, or even their own school, the Willes Center for International Entrepreneurship helps students gain the knowledge, skills, and judgment they need to start, acquire, or grow a small business venture. This venture could be a for-profit, non-profit, or non-governmental organization (NGO). The faculty and staff at the Willes Center for International Entrepreneurship teach that the future of business is global, digital, and social. Many of the courses taught as part of the ENTR minor help students learn how to start and run their own online businesses.
What You’ll Learn
- Demonstrate a knowledge of the fundamental areas of business.
- Develop adaptable, high-quality business plans using relevant insights for their local market.
- Work effectively with others and develop critical thinking skills to identify real problems that can be solved with entrepreneurial solutions in their home country.
- Learn to communicate effectively in entrepreneurial and cross-cultural situations.
- Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to ethical behavior and Christlike leadership principles.
- Develop an entrepreneurial mindset and understand what it takes to create opportunity in Oceania and the Asian Rim.
- Demonstrate the skills needed to create a real business in their home country – through the use of their education, talents, and resources.

Hands-On Learning Opportunities
Program Scholarships
The Willes Center for International Entrepreneurship recognizes that financial assistance can be a barrier for many students pursuing future entrepreneurial ventures. To help alleviate this burden, we offer the Emerging Entrepreneurs Scholarships, a two-tiered scholarship program for eligible students. These scholarships are awarded in Fall and Winter semester to selected students from all fields of study.
